The figure with which Lluc Crusellas won the World Chocolate Masters arrives at the Chocolate Museum.
The spectacular chocolate figure with which Lluc Crusellas was proclaimed the best chocolate maker in the world can now be seen in Barcelona. The elephant, the largest figure on display at the Chocolate Museum, is 1.5 meters high and weighs more than 160 kg.
The work embodies concern for the environment and the desire for harmony between humans and nature and, says Crusellas, the elephant also shows the simplicity of great things.
Lluc Crusellas was proclaimed winner of the last World Chocolate Masters at only 26 years old, being the youngest person to win this award. Born in Vic and trained at the Espai Sucre and the Hofmann School in Barcelona, he has become a benchmark in chocolate making in our country and internationally.
The elephant, donated by Crusellas himself, is now part of the museum’s permanent collection after traveling to Paris and being exhibited for a few months in the pastry shop El Carme de Vic.
